Dean Sypher (Dancin' Dean)
Lead and Backing Vocals, Electric and Accoustic bass and bass guitars
Deets: Dancin' Dean, who replaced original bassist Smokin' Herb Lester in 2001, comes from a truly psychedelic roots rock background. Studying the San Francisco Bay 60's Rock along with classic English and American 60's thru 90's Rock, Dean has developed a groovin' acid frontier " Duck Dunn meets Phil Lesh" sound. He's ugly, but very friendly and plays a really mean bass. Some of his former bands include the critically acclaimed Strange Attractor (with guitar legend Ludent Tremmel), 11th Section, Pink Salami Grinder, and Blue Noise.
Basses: 1940's Kay Uprite Bass, Carvin LB-75 5 string custom electric bass guitar, Pedulla custom 5 string fretless Pentabuzz Bass, Rickenbacker 4001 stereo electric bass guitar, Ovation Magnum electric bass guitar.
Amplification: Carvin Pro Bass 500 ( tube preamp/mosfet power amp), 1X18 Carvin bass cabinet, 4X10 and piezo Carvin bass cabinet.
