I hate to get political, but desperate times call for desperate measures. I am not telling, and will not tell you what to think. As an American, I believe we all have the right to freedom of both thought and speech. You must make up your own mind where you personally stand, and then choose what you will - or won't - do. I encourage all to do what they feel right.Phat J You can OPT OUT of credit companies sharing your private information ! Me and Jules recently had to deal with a nitemare credit thing for a bill for a service that never happened over 7 years ago......read on , and protect yerselves!!Subj: Reality Check

You may have seen an email like the message I got sent to me
lately. The "scare tactics" of it are incorrect, however,
the gist IS correct. You CAN "opt out" of having your
information shared by the credit bureaus, however, you do
NOT need to do it by any particular time AND the statement
that "... the four major credit bureaus in the US (Equifax,
etc.) will be allowed to release credit info, mailing
addresses, phone numbers, etc., to ANYONE who requests it
..." is not, nor has ever, been true.
Nonetheless, it is something I have done and thought it
important to do, but you can learn more info on this by
going to http://66.165.133.65/, then type in "Credit Bureau"
in the search window and click on Search. Your first result
is the one you want to read and I urge you to do that prior
to making any decisions. It is very interesting information
and can show you how to extend your "Opt Out" status with
other firms.
Tom
PS: after you're done reading the info on the Credit
Bureaus, check out the next result -- even better advice and
it is truly true!

Just an FYI, I thought I would share.
Your Credit: Personal Information goes public Starting
July 1st, 2003, the four major credit bureaus in the
US (Equifax, etc.) will be allowed to release credit
info, mailing addresses, phone numbers, etc., to
ANYONE who requests it. If you do not want to be
included in this release of your personal information,
you can call 1-888-567-8688. Once the message starts
you will want option #2 (even though option #1 refers
to this email, push #2) and then option #3.
Be sure to listen closely, the first option is only
for a two-year period. Make sure you wait until they
prompt for the third option, which opts you out
FOREVER. You should receive their paperwork in the
mail confirming the "opting out" in less than one week
after making the call.
PASS THIS MESSAGE ON TO ALL IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK,
FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
Please support our troops, they are faced with an awesome responsibility. We all hope they all return home safe and sound soon, and are recieved like the heroes they are. Support our troops!!!.
